Led Zeppelin Albums and Biography

Led Zeppelin were a rock band formed in London, England in 1968. The band formation consisted of singer Robert Plantguitarist Jimmy Page, bassist and keyboardist John Paul Jones, and also drummer John Bonham. Led Zeppelin was one of the most influental band in the world. Their biggest hits released between 1968 until 1984. The group's heavy, guitar-driven sound, rooted in blues on their early albums, has drawn them recognition as one of the progenitors of heavy metal, though their unique style drew from a wide variety of influences, including folk music.

Profile and History of Led Zeppelin

Led Zeppelin were achieved significant commercial success with some of their albums such as Led Zeppelin, Led Zeppelin II, Led Zeppelin III, their untitled fourth album (often referred as Led Zeppelin IV), Houses of the Holy, and also Physical Graffiti. Their fourth album, which features the track song Stairway to Heaven, is among the most popular and influential works in rock music, and it helped to increase the popularity of the group. That song often recognized as the greatest rock song of all time. Led Zeppelin also produces some of their biggest hits (see Top 10 Best Led Zeppelin Songs).

Jimmy Page wrote most music of Led Zeppelin, while Robert Plant generally supplied the songs' lyrics. Although they remained commercially and critically successful, their output and touring schedule were limited in the late 1970s, and the group disbanded following Bonham's death from alcohol-related asphyxia in 1980. In the decades since, the surviving members have sporadically collaborated and participated in one-off Led Zeppelin reunions. The most successful of these was at the 2007 Ahmet Ertegun Tribute Concert in London, with Jason Bonham taking his late father's place behind the drums.
