Aerosmith Discography and Biography

Aerosmith is an American hard rock band formed Boston, Massachusetts, United States in 1970. Their style, which is rooted in blues-based hard rock, has come to also incorporate elements of pop, heavy metal, and has inspired many subsequent rock artists. Aerosmith consist of Steven Tyler as lead vocalist, Joe Perry as guitarist, Tom Hamilton as bassist, Brad Whitford as guitarist and Joey Kramer as drummer. Aerosmith also referred as America's Greatest Rock and Roll Band and considered as one of the greatest hard rock band in music history.


Aerosmith's first album released in 1973, followed by their 1974 album Get Your Wings. They broke into the mainstream success after third album, Toys in the Attic released. Later, the band continue their international success in 70s era. In the late of decade 70s, Aerosmith known as one of the most popular hard rock bands in the world. They developed a loyal following of fans, often referred as 'Blue Army'. But drug addiction and internal conflict took their toll on the band, which resulted in the departures of Joey Perry and Brad Whitford in 1979 and 1981 respectively. Later, they were replaced by Jimmy Crespo and Rick Dufay

In the 80s and 90s, Aerosmith still released several hits and albums, that reach number one in international chart songThe band also became a pop culture phenomenon with popular music videos and notable appearances in television, film, and video games. Their comeback has been described as one of the most remarkable and spectacular in rock and roll history, including 70,2 million selling-albums in the United States. Aerosmith also hold record for the most gold albums by an American group in music history.
