Biography and Discography of Black Sabbath

Black Sabbath are a heavy metal band, formed in Birmingham, England. Black Sabbath formed in 1968 and consisted by vocalist Ozzy Osbourneguitarist Tony Iommi, bassist Geezer Butler and drummer Bill Ward. In their career, Black Sabbath's line-up had change multiple times, with Tony Iommi the only constant presence in the band through the years. Black Sabbath regarded the first founder of heavy metal music, and then many band influenced by that. Black Sabbath's early music was influenced by heavy blues rock. They also known by their horror-inspired lyrics and tuned-down guitars. Their song lyrics' often contain something unsual, such social instability, drug abuse, political corruption, history or war.

Profile and Biography of Black Sabbath

Black Sabbath early succes with some of their album in 1970s. Some of their greatest song in the 70s including Paranoid, War Pigs or Iron Man. In 1979, Ozzy Osbourne's heavy drug use led to his dismissal from the band. He later replace by Ronnie James Dio, the former Rainbow vocalist. Later in decade 1980s and 1990s, Black Sabbath's line-up had changed several time. In 1997, the original of Black Sabbath reunited along with Ozzy Osbourne and released a live album Reunion. The latest Black Sabbath album named 13, released in June 2013 which features three of the original members. This is the first album they released after Forbidden in 1995, which mean in 18 years interval.

Black Sabbath regarded as the founder of heavy metal, with some other band in 1970s, such Led Zeppelin or Deep Purple. Black Sabbath were inducted into the UK Music Hall of Fame in 2005 and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame one years later. They also have sold over 70 million records worldwide. Black Sabbath ranked by MTV as the greatest metal band of all time. Black Sabbath also ranked in second place in VH1's '100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock' list. Rolling Stone magazine ranked them number 85 in their '100 Greatest Artists of All Time' list.
